2012 Queen Program Guidelines

Our Queen is chosen during our Annual Convention each February, for service through the following January.  Please see the links below for application and rules. 

The Mar-Del Watermelon Queen is our Association's representative at local, regional and national events.  Her duties include educating the public on the health benefits of watermelon, and promoting the importance of supporting our local watermelon farmers. 

She is available throughout the year for public engagements, and requests for our Queen's participation in an event are organized through our Queen Coordinator.  Please visit our Promotions page for current events.

2011 Mar-Del Watermelon Queen,
Jordan Calloway!

2011 Mar-Del Queen Jordan Calloway is the 19 year old daughter of Edward and Dayle Calloway from Mardela Springs, Md.  Jordan is a student at Wor-Wic Community College, majoring in Nuclear Medicine Technology.  Jordan has served as Miss Wicomico Farm Bureau, Soccer Coach and Captain, Soccer MVP, Homecoming Queen, has starred as the lead in Cinderella, and is a certified Nursing Assistant.  Her hobbies are working with cancer patients, being involved in her church, spending time with loved ones, traveling, fitness and sports.  Her future goals are to work with cancer patients, travel, and have a big family after college is completed.  We are looking forward to working with Jordan in her new role as our Queen.
